The Challenge

What needed solving.

A South Asian VC needed brand films for six portfolio founders — each in a different city, sector, and stage — that worked as a coherent series. Each film needed to feel like the founder, while the series needed to feel like the fund.

The challenge was visual-language discipline. Six different founders + six different production days + six different editors easily becomes six different films. The constraint was making them feel like one fund's portfolio.

The Approach

Four-step playbook for this engagement.

Step 1
Visual language doc first
Wrote a 30-page visual language document before any cameras moved. Lighting setups, lens choices, color treatment, motion graphics palette, typography. Every production day shot to this spec.
Step 2
Single editor pipeline
All six films cut by the same lead editor. Color graded by the same colorist. Sound designed by the same designer. Series consistency comes from people, not process docs.
Step 3
Founder-led interview structure
Same 12-question interview structure across all six. Edit picks the strongest 5–7 answers per founder. Series arc emerges from the comparative answers across founders.
Step 4
Multi-language deliverables
Each film delivered in the founder's primary language (Bangla, Hindi, or English) with native subtitles for the other two. Single visual language across all language versions.
