NextBangla had 14 years of accumulated documents, briefs, Slack history, and internal wiki content. Search was useless. People kept asking the same senior team members the same questions because finding the answer was harder than asking.
The challenge: turn an internal tool that solved this for our team into a product that solved it for other operationally complex small businesses, without needing each customer to hire an engineer to set it up.
Solved our own problem completely before opening to others. Six weeks of dogfooding inside NextBangla surfaced the rough edges that documentation alone wouldn't have caught.
Designed the retrieval to return 'I don't know' rather than hallucinate when the answer isn't in the corpus. Counter-intuitive but trust-building — users prefer a known gap to a confident wrong answer.
Connectors for Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, and PDF folders. New customer onboarding completes in under 30 minutes without engineering involvement.
Recruited 30 SMBs across BD, UK, and US. Different industries, different document types, different chaos levels — exactly what we needed to stress-test generalization.
