The story so far.
I incorporated NextBangla in 2011 at age 20 with two laptops, one part-time partner, and a single client. The first three years were small contracts and operational lessons — invoicing, scope control, hiring discipline, and the slow craft of running a multi-disciplinary team.
The big shift came in 2018 with our first UK client. The work shifted from local to international, from Bangla-language briefs to English-language scope docs, from one-time projects to multi-year retainers. We grew the team to 50+ across three countries by 2024.
Today's state, with numbers where I have them.
NextBangla is the engine. 500+ projects shipped over 14 years, recurring retainer relationships across the US/UK/EU, and a team that handles everything from a 4-week marketing site to a 9-month AI product build.
Joya joined as Managing Director in 2020 and now runs day-to-day operations. The result is that I can spend dedicated time on AI ventures while client work continues to ship without me being on every standup.
Traction
Roadmap.
NextBangla doesn't need to scale headcount aggressively to grow — the next phase is depth, not breadth. We're investing in tooling, internal AI integrations, and the kind of operational compounding that lets a small team punch far above its weight.
The strategic bet is that the next decade of high-quality digital work won't be defined by team size. It'll be defined by how well a small, senior team uses AI to ship more per person.
